Carole Ehrman

Carole Ehrman has loved folk music since early childhood, but she found her muse when she was given two mountain dulcimers in 1990. She enjoys singing and playing Celtic, Appalachian, and gospel, and original music.

A frequent instructor at Gebhard Woods, Carole has also performed and taught workshops at Fox Valley Folk Festival, College of DuPage MacAninch Arts Center, Dulcimer Gathering at the Mounds, Hootenanny House in Geneva and at the Dulcimer Society of Northern Illinois, Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Music Club, and many other events. She has given programs as an Artist-in-residence and as a workshop teacher for a Suzuki program and conducted and arranged music for the Folk Orchestra at the Dulcimer Chautauqua on the Wabash.

Carole teaches private lessons in Wheaton, and performs regularly as a soloist. She performs with Heidi James and Janet Swartz in the dulcimer trio, Trad & True, and performs and records with the group ChurchFolk Project.
